Hi Guys

Currently assembling components for a Fractal North build and have some questions around recommended fan layout.

I haven't purchased a CPU cooler yet so this is a bit flexible but my intention was to purchase an NZXT Elite 360 AIO to go on an i7-14700k and front mount the rad in this case. I had considered a 240 in the top instead but I know there may be fitment issues with some taller RAM, plus I don't think it looks as neat so pretty keen to aim for front mounted.

Assuming I proceed with this plan, is it more preferred to sandwich the 3x120mm fans between the front grill and rad so they are pulling through the grill and pushing over the rad into the case, or mount them to the "back" of the rad so they are pulling through both the front grill and rad? In terms of top mounted fans, I've seen people suggesting that having two 120 or 140mm fans up there as exhaust fans actually diminishes cooling ability because there's a chance it's sucking cool air out before it's touched any components. If true, I'd have guessed this may affect CPU air coolers more than a front mounted AIO where the incoming air may be warmed from the rad already? I guess my question is, would it be recommended to have 1x or 2x fans in the top sucking air out with a 360 AIO up front? I have a 4070 FE GPU to go in this build that will need to exhaust somewhere too. The only other note is I was expecting to keep the standard 120mm exhaust fan on the rear.

Thank you in advance :)
