Hi guys,
I have had my build for quite some time now I have the following:
230mm Fan at front - intake
2x120mm Fan on top - exhaust
1x140mm Fan at rear - exhaust
I have had the stock intel cooler since the I built it in November 2013, and had always planned on getting an aftermarket cooler later, well I finally ordered an NZXT Kraken x31 which is 120mm.
I've been reading about Positive/Negative pressure and with my current setup I have negative pressure, which makes sense as I seem to have ridiculous dust build up in my case.
I have also been told that you should always have radiators as intakes, that being said I have two possible setups and I would like your opinion.
Setup 1:
230mm - front - intake
120mm + x31 - top - intake
140mm rear - exhaust
Setup 2:
230mm - front - intake
120mm x 2 - top - exhaust
x31 - rear - intake
I'm leaning more towards Setup 1 as Setup 2 would require me to buy a dust filter for the back.
Any advice would be welcome. Also does anyone have any ideas for a dust filter for the Bitfenix Prodigy (non black) for the front panel. A company has made dust filters for the black model which has a mesh front but the other colours have a solid front with gaps at the side for air to come through. You can fit those filters between the front facade and the fan holes but it would impede airflow too much. Any ideas would be very welcome, cheers.
