Fan Size Dilemma

Mods please move to Project Logs if you think it would be better placed there.

Looking at modding my Jonsbo v4 to add front intake. can put 2 80mm fans side by OR a single 140mm for better air flow into the case.

Either way would have all 3 rear fans exhausting.

Also trying to decide if it would be better to cut a hole at the fan diameter and cover with a fan grille or whether to keep close to the aesthetic of the side of the case and drill out holes like this

If you want airflow why would you choose to block most of it?

Also, 80mm fans mostly went away for good reasons. Larger fans move more air with less noise.

It seems a shame to butcher what looks like quite a nice case. Why not buy something that's a closer match to your requirements?

A140mm fan will move about 50% more air than 120mm fan of same design at same speed.

Your hole spacing for a vent will block majority of airflow. Much better to cut a hole the size if fan and use a grill like Demciflex 120 or 140mm filter grill like linked below
