Hi,

problem #1
well i just built a comp and i noticed the fan socket 'system fan 2' only spins my 180mm fan no more than 550rpm when it should be at 700rpm, i tried the same fan in the other 3 sockets and it spins all the way to 700rpm.
I do not have fan controller. And I cannot change fan speeds.

problem #2
the fan socket 'system fan 3' is not even listed in BIOS so it does not show fans speed in BIOS or FanSpeed (Software) but still performs. Why is this?

Is my Mobo Faulty?

Mobo is Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard

are you sure that u don't need to set anythin from the bios?

May be 'system fan 2' is set on medium whereas the other are set to full speed from the bios.

i cant seem to change the fan settings in bios?
is it even possible?

I don't think so :P I mean I would expect better from such a mobo. My bios has a setting which I need to enable to be able to change to fan speed. find the Manual and see if it mentions fan speed control.

Nothing in the manual about fan speeds dude.....
Its really annoying.
Im gonna search google now....

edit: i emailed gygbyte
