Fan speed and temp.

Yea I read the same about the q300L v2 case but I took the risk on the basis that my specs were entry point/ budget and that with enough case fans it would probably be able to handle it.

So I left warzone on for 2-3 hours and the CPU temp climbed from 80 straight away to a max of 86c by the end.

Noise is not the issue, it's the worry of the temp being so high.

I will eventually upgrade the fan but most games tend to stick to 70-80. The GPU seems to cope much better. Rarely high temps

My thoughts on this and why I'm worried is that if my temp is 80c with the fan at 100% and steadily climbs to 86c then the fan cannot keep the temp from rising as it's already at 100% so it's basically just prolonging the time it takes to reach the 95-100 threshold. So after x amount of hours it will need shutting down....or is my logic wrong on this?

If your gaming session was 2-3 hours then I don't think that's a big concern, since it only gained 6 degrees over that time.

If your cooler couldn't keep it down, it'd hit the limiter very quickly.
