Fan speed question

Heya guys and gals

This morning i received two akasa vipers and i went and replaced the stock EZcool fans for my rad. I noticed a 10-15°C decrease on the speedfan monitoring.

Now my question is how can i reduce the fan speed of the fans? They are great fans but are just too noisy when they run at full rpm. Is there any way of decreasing the fan speed without getting a fan controller? if not what is the best fan controller for the cheapest price possible.

Then run both from the cpu fan header on your motherboard.

Various FREE ways of doing this, the easiest being simply connecting them to the 5v rail (red) instead of the 12v rail (yellow). However that might not provide you with enough cooling. The other easy method that will run them at 50% is to wire them in series on the 12v (yellow) rail, this will provide each fan with 6v instead of 12v or 5v.
