I can't work out why my PC gets really noisy when gaming, i initially thought it was my graphics card so i fitted a fan mate.

My case fans are all going direct to the power supply not motherboard... and have manual speed control.

Temps after an hour of playing GTA4 are only around 40c and 25c idle on the desktop.

The CPU cooler is PWM and i have smart fan enabled, even set ideal temp to 65c and level 1 to try achieve the least possible noise level.

CPU fan is running about 1200rpm idle and gaming.... if speedfan is reporting this correctly.

Any idea's please?

I am not sure if this would be it but possibly the power supply? My initial guess would be the gfx card/cpu fan but you say you have sorted them? Could some software possibly be interfering and making them go faster depending on the temperature?
