Anyone know what the cpu fan speed for a Sandy 2600k should be? With regards to my pc running hot, my fan speed is between 1085 and 1150 rpm, that seems a bit low to me, or am I wrong?

Anyone more knowledgable than me care to make a suggestion? Thank you!

It depends on a lot of things such as ambient temp, type of cooler, make/size/type of fan, case airflow, decent mounting of the cooler, load on the cpu (all presuming you are using a PWM fan). Nobody can give you a accurate answer as there are so many variables.

Your idle temps are not far off my load temps. Is the cooler clipped down properly? Seems a tad high even for the stock cooler. You may have to just bite the bullet and buy a decent cooler.

I've just ordered an Arctic cooler. I have one off my Conroe I thought fitted, but on looking at it again I'm not 100% sure.

The stock cooler seems to be installed right to me,, but I think I might take out the mobo and have a closer look tomorow.
