Hi guys, just a quick one

what speeds should my cpu fan and my gpu fans be running at because at the moment my cpu fan is running at max of 636rpm and the gpu is running at max 1089rpm?

plus I have 3 separate fans installed but it only seems to show 1 of them, and that's running at 1461rpm.

any ideas?

cheers

also to add, my temperatures for cpu is 19c and gpu temp is 25c and motherboard temp is 23c

them temps are only whilst im doing basic task such as internet browsing etc but maybe the fans kick in when it needs to m not sure?

What software are you using to check your fan speeds?
What software are you using to check temps? If CPUID which part are you reading?
Are your fans 3 pin or 4?
What's your BIOS set to for controlling fans etc?

im using cpuid hw monitor

I believe one is a 4 pin and the other two are 3 pins.

the bios is set to default settings I believe at the moment.

when I open bios though it shows the cpu fan speed but shows it in red and reading at about 500-600rpm which is why im just curious as to weather this is normal or not.

all fans are spinning and all temps seem to be fine but just wondering why it would show up the cpu fan speed in red as If it was running to slow?

PWM fans do run relatively slow when idle, their ability to run slow is is one of the selling points of them. Your GPU fan is probably also PWM and will respond to temperature just like your CPU one probably does. 600rpm is quite consistent with many PWM fan idle speeds.

Your other fans may be mounted to headers that do not have a tach circuit. My motherboard has something like 6 useful headers but only reads the tach on 4 of them.

1461rpm sounds like you have a 1500rpm nominal speed fan installed.

Your BIOS would expect you to have a fast spinning stock cooler and fan installed, and as such will have a warning setting to let you know the fan is running slow. You may be able to adjust this threshold to 400rpm or turn it off if it bothers you. Some BIOS beep at you to tell you it is running below threshold.
