I've got 3 case fans that I want to run off of one mobo slot. I was going to buy this cable...

...to let me route the cables around the back of the mobo so the cables wouldn't be showing (2 front intake fans and 1 rear exaust) The fans are 3 pin. This cable pic is a little fuzzy. Would this cable let me use the 3 pin fans to run off of one mobo SYSFAN plug? I can't quite see if I could plug the 3 fans into this cable ok.

Is the splitter 3pin compatible too?

Yes.

From the advert 'The extra power required to run four fans from this splitter is provided by the 4-pin molex connector, which does need to be connected if more than one fan is used.

So you connect one end of the cable to the motherboard header, plug the 4 pin molex connector into a spare one on the PSU then connect up to 4 fans.
