Fan Splitter??

I have just bought the Venomous X heatsink and I have 2xZalman fans I am going to attach onto it. First of all I assume I will need a splitter for the fans so is this o.k.? (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-013-AK&groupid=701&catid=48&subcat=). Second, will the fans be able to change RPM by software control when hooked up to this splitter? Thanks

p.s. my motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4

if you're talking about PWM control, then no. that aint up to the job.
what you need is something like this:

i bought something similar last week a 4 way fan splitter with braided cables, trust you the site if you like

I have a splitter like the OP posted and I use Speedfan to control my Noctua 3 pin fans off one motherboard header. Mine is homemade but essentially does the same thing.
