Hey Guys,

Im not sure where this goes so move it if its wrong!

Has anyone used a fan slpitter before?

I recently bought a cheap case just to build a second machine for messing about on. The 2 fans that came on the cas had a 3 pin connector and the motherboard and PSU both have no where to connect the fans too. I was looking for an adapter and came across the splitter below. Has anyone used one? If so were there any issues or did it work fine?

Thanks :)

I'm using something similar and it drives the fans just fine. The only slight issue you may have is that all of the fan RPM sense wires appear to be paralleled up, so you're unlikely to get a sensible RPM reading out of it unless you snip two of the three sense wires to only read from one fan.

One issue would be that the product you linked is designed for 4 pin PWM fans and you have 3 pin fans. They'll fit of course but you'll have no way to adjust speed, unless you modify the voltage your Molex is supplied with.
