I purchased 2x
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/akasa-flexa-fp5s-5-fan-pwm-controller-ak-cbfa07-45-cb-079-ak.html

one for my CPU fans one for my GPU fans.
CPU fans controlled off my PWM CPU_fan header.
GPU fans controlled off my SYS_FAN1 header.

The SYS_FAN1 header I can't make PWM, even though in Bios settings you can set it to BIOS PWM control i.e 2.50 PWM per degree increase. It always just runs flat out.

So I've a cable on the CPU_FAN header, that has 3 fans on it and the second cable which has 4 fans on it. Both cables are connected to the power.
I'm assuming this is safe as it isn't drawing any power from the motherboard as there's no power pins in the cable which attaches to the header, just the signal and PWM pins.

Hope this makes sense?

It's fine.

As your SYS_FAN1 doesn't seem to be working properly you may be able to put all 7 fans on CPU_FAN PWM. 7 fans might be pushing the PWM signal a little far but technically shoud work just fine.

Yeah that should be fine, if you don't wa t to take the chance and wa t to be able to increase or decrease the fan speed you could always look at getting a fan controller which me a s you wouldn't be putting to much strain on your PWM then
