Fan Splitting?

Just received my order of Corsair SP120 High Pressure dual pack, and can't believe how quiet they are, leading me to think that they're not getting the maximum power!

I've got the 2x SP120s on a fan splitter going to my fan controller..
Having a dumb moment, would this mean;

- Each fan would get half the amount of power it would normally receive if they were plugged in seperately?

or

- It will draw double the amount of power from the fan controller than it would if one were plugged in?

Hope that makes sense enough :D

(Fan Controller is a Lamptron with 45w per channel, so very much more than enough)

They're the High Performance ones; https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-008-CS

With this splitter; https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-013-AK

I just didn't think they would be quieter than the stock H100 fans at full whack, but if they are meant to be, then I guess all is ok :p

Another side question;
If I had the stock H100 fans connected without a splitter, and set the knob on the controller to about 50%, they would make a noise similar to a HDD ticking.. But on a splitter, at the same speed, there's no sign of that noise, why might this happen?
