Fan ticking

Hi all

So over the last few days i've noticed one of my Bequiet Fans is making a Ticking/Clicking noise, I've checked to make sure the blades are clear of any cables etc so i'm guessing it's bearing related... Is it ok to use until a replacement is delivered or is it best to get it out the system ASAP... When i have my headset on i can't hear it but it's rather annoying if i'm browsing the net

If you want to be safe and leave it in I would fit a fan grill that way if it goes it will protect your system,or you could take the fan apart and see what's wrong it should be easy to do.

Probably end of blade touching fan shroud.
I think blades can flex/distort overtime due to centrifugal forces.

Is the fan PWM? Some PWM fans may develop a click at low rpms. See if you can up the revs in the bios for it. Alternatively, try removing the fan and rotating it 90 or 180 degrees and refit it and see if it still ticks.
