I cant make up my mind! :(
These fans will be used on a rad and in my case. Whats the most silent fan, that will also shift a fair bit of air?

Yate Loons
Akasa Ambers
Silent Eagles
Other?

At the min i'm edging towards the silent eagles, should I go for somthing els?

Another vote for yate loon d12sl12

Edit: Just bought one, so it'll be interesting to compare it to my nexus. Cost half the price which is nice, and it should perform identically.

Keep me updated :p

Think i'll go with the Yate's

I do love my Yate Loons, certainly quiter than the Ambers they replaced- though to be fair, that might just be because they have a different sweet spot, mine all run at 7V.

mine run at 12v and can hardly hear them!

I can just barely hear mine. At 5V they're basically silent. I need to sort things out so I can run the lazy ones at 5V and the effective ones variable, but the world seems to have sold out of decent fan controllers

@ NachT- the popular US source who I can't name sells the orange and black ones, I like orange- nice practical look. Hope it's OK to make a ref like that, since OCUK doesn't sell Yate Loons- though I think this might be on thin ice since there's other cooling stuff that they do sell. Not sure, I'll leave it in the hands of the mods ;)

Have you bought from that us source, are they any good? Any unexpected customs or postage charges?

I just bought the only one available in the uk, sadly it was an orange one but if the us source is good i'll get some from there. I hate the orange colour but this one will be adorning an xp-120 in my media center so i'll never have to see it.

Tbh we've been banging on about these for long enough now, if ocuk wants to sell us some then for gods sake get some in stock, they'll sell like hot cakes. :p
I don't think this is against the rules.

I'd far sooner buy from OC than from the states, that's for sure. I got a good fast service, no unexpected customs charges etc, though that's always a risk- seller can't control that.

Ok thanks. I think only things with a value of over £37 or something like that are at risk of being charged for by customs, but i'm not sure.
Since there are none in the uk i'll be getting my next one from there i expect.

There are some in the UK, you just need to search a little harder.
Could i trouble you to send me a quick email. ;)
Email in trust. Thanks.

I can only find nexus's, and i just bought the only d12sl12 in the uk on 'that auction site'. Google returns nothing.
