Fan watts?

I cann't find out how many watts a 40mm fan, 80mm fan and a 120mm fan use.

Can anyone give me a ruff idea? As i don't want a power shortage with my Corsair HX620W.

I don't think you will have an issue m8

I am using a total of 11 120mm fans, 2 80mm, 7 hdds, 1 dvd writer, 2 watercooling pumps a 8800gtx and a overclocked 6600 cpu off of 1 700w psu with no issue what so ever

It depends on the fan, the 120w on the back of my case is rated at 2.16w.

6 x 80mm
3 x 40mm

Yep :/

I have:

2x same 120mm as intake + exhast
80mm at the top
120mm on the CPU cooler
120mm covering GPU.

If that was for me I have 2 water cooling loops on a push pull config (120.3 +a 120.2 all yate loons so whisper quiet ) and 2 80mm fans to push air over the HDDs

2 x 120mm at side sucking in
2 x 80mm at back blowing out
1 x 120mm under GTX card blowing up
1 x 120mm top blowing out
1 x 120mm in TT blowing to back fans
3 x 40m on chipset coolers
Super cyclone blower under GTX

And to cool the air inside case, I have laid granite inside the floor of the case

That simply is way too much. Cut that in half and it'd still be overkill!

I definitely wouldn't use that many fans if you haven't already got them from previous machines, it'd be wasted money.

Yeah, you really don't need all that.

I have 1 120mm case fan, 120mm on my cpu, accelero at 600rpm on my graphics and 120mm in my PSU. Everything is nice and cool.

120mm on the front if you can, 120mm on the back (again, if possible... if not 2 x 80 is ok) and the cpu fan is really all you need.

Even then I wouldn't, I have a load of fans just sitting around.

To answer your question though Rib_Tickler it varies, between 2 and 6w sounds about right for a 120mm fan, 1 - 3w for an 80 and under 2 for a 40mm.

I have 5 and mine sounds like a 747! Mine is super cool though, but to add more would be a waste of time, you get to a point were having 4/5 fans is the same as having 10 fans.
