Yep, that's right I bought myself a gamecube. Got the thing for £35 with Resident Evil 0 and Viewtiful Joe 2. Always wanted to own one but for some reason never got round to buying it. Suppose it's a good time now since the console costs peanuts and games are very cheap too.
The only thing I'm struggling with now is the controls since the last time I played seriously on a console was SEGA megadrive days and I was about 12 when stopped playing it. Had a brief encounter with a PSone and only ever used my PS2 as a DVD player. So I suppose all those years of heavy keyboard and mouse use didn't condition my hands for all those analogue sticks and shoulder buttons on gamepads.
Still while I like playing an occasional game on my PC, playing on a gamecube just felt so refreshing and almost new. It's like I was thrown into a totally new world and it totally redefined my views on gaming. There seem to be so many odd/weird and wonderful games on GC that just aren't available anywhere else.
Only complaint I got is the dull black colour, so I was wondering how easy are these things to take apart (and most importantly put back together
). Are there any guides on the internet (google wasn't much help)? I'm sure I can add a little excitemet to the case with a spray can. Besides the fan on the side looks pretty clogged up so I suppose I have a valid reason to open it up
