fancy a little project

I have a shuttle (athlon x2) which has this dirty great heatsink on it, only trouble is, even when it is under small amounts of load the fan is too loud for my liking. Considering the GPU is doing most of the work.
I would like to fit a Corsair H50 or similar, I understand the mounting holes are different but I am sure it is possible to do.

If its anything like the Shuttle collecting dust behind me, thats easier said than done. Theres very litle clearance between the top of the existing lowprofile heatblock and the trays that the harddrives sit in.

The rear fan on my shuttle (SN41G2?) is also bloody noisy too, which is why I never did anything with it. That rear fan is both case exhaust and CPU fan.

Arctic cooling frezer 13 thingy?
Around £20 and it fits in quite a few cases

The mounting holes are different in a Shuttle.

Theres no way a normal AC Freezer would fit inside and still let you put the hard drive tray in. Maybe one of the low profile jobbies.

Theres a few modded Shuttles in this log and others.

shuttle has odd mounting brackets
they design their units to be as proprietary as possible to ensure you don't upgrade them.
