fancy a new ps3 game. killzone or Resident evil

Just after a new FPS type game. Not brought any for a while. Been playing Bad company battlefield for ages and love it.

which is better, Killzone or resident evil. Been thinking about Dead Space too,

anything else I should maybe consider. I quite enjoy playing on line with others as well, especially when I have completed a game.

Hmmm, i haven't played Resident evil yet so can't comment.

Out of Killzone 2 and Dead space i would say Dead Space is the superior single player experience but killzone is the best online FPS on the PS3.

The best single player game on the PS3 is Valkyria Chronicles and the best multiplayer game is at present Street fighter 4, imo obviously.

[EDIT] Resi 5 is not to be sniffed at it seems, very popular amongst nearly everyone i know who has played it. Both Killzone 2 and RE5 are undersold by their Demos, Resi 5 is apparently from two of the less enjoyable areas in the game. The Killzone 2 demo should be outright removed imo as the controls have been heavily improved in the full game, not to mention the fact that the demo takes part in one of the least impressive parts of the game.

i have killzone 2 although i have only fired it up once and given the single player a try for ten mins. I must admit even though my time on it was short (been focusing on uncharted atm) it was simply amazing. Smooth gameplay awesome visuals and sound

might give online a bash tonight to see what its like
 
I got RE5 the other day.Played it for 20 mins or so.Got totally frustrated with the controls(not being able to move while shooting) and haven't played it since.I think i'm gonna trade it in later.
So i'd go for killzone 2.
Just seen you mention deadspace.Get that!Best game I played last year.
 
looking at your games list, i would say killzone is more up your street and is a very good mp game. sp is good too :)

re5 is also an awesome game but make sure you play it on co-op with someone.
 
i have both games and havent really spent much time on RE5. however KZ2 blew me away and im enjoying the MP play on it havent spent much time on SP.
 
Nipped into town and picked up Killzone 2 for £29.99 pre owned. Also got Dark Knight on Blu-Ray for £14.99 pre owned as well.

I don't think that is a bad price, only got one other Blu Ray (Casino Royale) so want to add a bit to my collection and I did enjoy that film at the cinema.

Killzone 2 is now installing/updating on PS3 then it is play time as I have a day off today.

Knowing how I used to play PC Games I will no doubt go straight onto online play as I do enjoy that. When I used to play BF2 on the PC it was over a year before I even tried single player. In fact don't think I ever finished single player on BF2 I enjoyed on line play so much more.


My PS3 name thing is KBKeith is OcUK have a server for Killzone 2 ???

i completed both res5 and killzone both have excellent appeal and stories. starting to play killzone online now and im doing quite well at it also playing through res5 on expert now just to try and unlock everything and its very enjoyable teamplay
 
Its bought, not brought. Can't believe people keep spelling it with an R. :P

I'd go with Dead Space. A lot better than Resi 5 and Killzone 2 IMO. Its my 2nd best game of 2008. :)

You cant go wrong with either Dead Space, Resi 5 or Killzone 2.

KZ2 is one of the best online MP games, join the clan if you can as there is a tournament going on at the moment with several other forums, Eurogamer, AV-Forums etc. which is awesome, we are in the top 3 at the minute as well. Resident Evil 5 is amazing in co-op as well once you get use to the controls and Dead Space will make you brick your pants.
 
Just had a couple of hours on KZ2. Seems to be ok. getting used to controls. Hard when you play one game on the PS3 for ages then go onto another (still fps) and controls are somewhat different. I believe they should pretty much be standard and the same in all games.

KZ2 does remind me a bit of Half Life 2.
 
I played KZ2 for a few mins till I died, It now lies under my bed, I'm too used to a keyboard and mouse for FPS. Using the thumb sticks as the mouse is just wrong, it it also way too senstive. I just don't like it. :)

I agree Resi 5 is very frustrating,and quite boring too, compared to the other games in the series, sheva is a royal pain as well, trading it in too.
