I hope this is allowed, i've seen threads like it before so here goes...
My boss is doing as challenge tomorrow, i am trying to get a last push for support.
My boss has owned the Strands inn in Nether Wasdale for the last 10 years, yet, in those 10 years, he's never ascended Scafell pike, or any of the other fells on our doorstep. He is a great man and very selfless and humble, he's the best boss i've ever had, and also a good friend.
For the last 2 months, he's been training for a challenge he has set himself, he is planning to take a barrel of beer (our own brewed Scafell summit) with beer engine etc and serve pints from the top of Scafell tomorrow morning. Now this is no easy feat, the barrel of beer weighs in about the same as a sack of potatoes (4 1/2 gallon / 35pints), which he has to carry on his back up to the top of Scafell with the beer engine and all gubbins required to pour a decent pint.
I am hoping to ask for your support for this task for a great man, and for a very deserving charity, Cancer Research, also, if you're in the area, pop in for a pint of Scafell sumit, and 10% of the proceeds will go to Wasdale mountain Rescue.
