if you havent already get to grips with the mission maker and make your own custom missions which involve everything you want, and also download some mods for it, probably some insane new weapons out there now, 'SR AS 50' being one of them i think

Sniper Elite co-op on the xbox was great fun. Shame they removed co-op for the pc

sniper elite, great game, if u get bord u can just go on a bullet spraying machine gun frenzy! although its so much more satisfying trying to get the longest headshot! has mavity effects and everything!
Flashpoint / ArmA.
You can't beat ArmA for proper realistic sniper action.
I got a kill with the .50BMG sniper the other day from over 1100m against a crawling rifleman. It's hard work ranging the target and guaging the wind but it's soooo satisfying when you make a shot like that over range.
Especially in online games. The only downside is having to learn how mil-dot scopes work before you really become an effective sniper.

Crawling on your belly close enouth to touch an enemy tank that passes near you, crapping yourself, getting in position & taking the heads of a few enemys, proper gilly suits, superb rifles, the best ever maps, infantry only servers, 32 V 32 battles, Jahalibad etc etc etc etc etc
BF2 for around a tenner is the best value game out there.

the flash game was amusing.. ends too soon though!
and i've been playing arma a bit more, one of the first missions where you have to destroy the tanks in the dark was fun! (i didn't realise you had to take the wind in account while sniping on it though! 0.o)
i've got bf2 lying around actually, i haven't played it for ages! I guess i'll reinstall that.

It doesn't model wind as such, however if you look at the impact point of a round after it's fired you will notice they are off the center of you sight picture/aiming point. Although it seems to vary from mission to mission and the direction you are facing, it does deviate in the same direction every shot (providing you don't change position obviously) so you can easily allow for it on the mil-dot scopes.
I don't know if it's actually meant to be wind or not, but the same thing was there in OFP. So it's certainly meant to happen I suppose.
