Fancy a winter project?

Is it just me or are the Cossie drivers particularly unskilled? Either that or they're being really careless.

Doesn't take away the performance of that Metro, though!

Done all the hard work he says! looks like the easy works done, otherwise why not finish it and sell it complete ;)

Yeah they are rather fast, traction issues from what ive heard! :o

Read the thread trolling there, and thought I'd gone back to the WSCC (Westfield Club Site regulary has way too much thread trolling and sales bashing).

Blimey, aswell as both myslef and Dr Who being on locostbuilders, I've suspected that someone on here is also on the WSCC & they've just confirmed my suspisions!
Hello Boomy

Only 1 person on here will actually have a clue about what I'm on about!

Who dat den?

What sort of westfield have you got? Car engined? Bike engined?

They are a great drive aren't they... much better than some vvc powered metro... rwd for starters...

I posted it here as peeps are always looking for track day cars etc, and thought this might make a goodun, cheap...

Wouldnt touch it myself..

:D

Am not doubting the power and capability of the engine - but at the end of the day it's a metro

This probably means it'll fall apart with rust the first puddle it drives through

It's a 2lt NA Zetec, currently putting out 230bhp.
Last big thing done on it was a nice new custom made manifold & silencer, with the lengths and diameters of primaries, secondaries & collectors made to the exact specifications requested by the engine builder. And has a nice big 7" by 28" silencer keeping it to only 95db @ 4,500rpm.
On a set of 15" rims it's running Avon CR500's (made for the Caterham R500) and on a 13" set of compomotive CXR's it's running scrubbed 32 super softs.

They don't handle that great though do they? A workmate had a 1.4 8v one, it could be scary fast at times in a straight line, climb the steepest of hills in my town in 5th gear and still gain speed, but couldn't handle corners at speed, would just carry on straigh-ish lol...
