Fancy having a look over my spec for me?

What's everyone's view on what I've chosen here? Do you have any suggestion or see any problems? I have around 550 to spend possibly more at a stretch.

Looks good i would change the ram to something like the G-Skill RipJaw or Geil Ultra Series which is on offer atm. You could maybe drop the cpu down to a 810 and then get a 4870. But if you want the power of a 955 then keep it as it is.

Are you dead set on AMD? You could build an i5 rig for the same price.

E: Oh wait, no cooler. Er, roughly the same price.

I'm quite happy with AMD. Are they advantages of having an i5 great?

If you can stretch your budget £50 or so I'd go for socket 1156. AM3 is dead at this point.

Nice rig. No issues with what you've chosen. Maybe I would make the video card a 4870 but that's about all.

Thanks for everyones reply. I was thinking since I spend most of my time developing websites which doesn't take a lot of computer resources I'd like to swap for quad core for a dual core amd processor then spend the remainder on a 4870? What do you guys think?

i think a 5870 is a bit pricey for his budget to be honest. Might be nice to try and squeeze a 4890 in though

5770 performs reasonably similar to a 4870 and has DirectX 11 for roughly the same cost.

Am3 is dead? How so? For an extra tenner u could get the 965.higher stock.and unless your playing games is the extra gpu power worth it?
