Will be getting a SG05 chassis along with a Zotec 9300 wifi mobo soon. Very interested in keeping things ultra quiet so would like a decent fanless heatsink.

Can anyone recommend me the best one? I'll just be using a core2duo so something to cool that.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Silverstone ST30NF or ST45NF would be perfect (think 300W on a quality PSU should be enough for you)
Otherwise there is the Zen400
or if you can find one the antec Phantom (this are pretty old, and you'll be buying a few yr old 2nd hand one if you can.)

Others to look at:
Xilence 600 Watt smart fanless
silentmaxx 400 watt

Although these would be brilliant for your system they are all around the £100 mark. If that's too much then you might want to look at something like the Zalman 500W

I would happily recommend the Sythe Mini Ninja. Comes with a fan, but you simply dont attach it during installation.
Would be worth checking the clearance though to make sure it fits. I have mine in an Antec Fusion and it fits flush to the top of the case.

No way a ninja is fitting in the sg05.

This is my best bet for that motherboard. I know it has a fan, but among the other coolers it’s very small and then fan works from 500 RPM, so it must be pretty silent… I haven’t found a pure fanless heatsink so far though, only if you buy whichever low profile cooler and remove the fan. (Although I believe your Core2Duo won’t like that, temperature wise.)

The NT06-E works well in that case (i'm using one) but only fits one way (pipes facing the side of the case) and leaves no room for a side 120mm fan. If you're not planning on using one then it's no issue. There's also enough room under the fan to fit a slimline 120mm fan if you find you need it, make it push air upwards in to the CPU and it should reduce temps and possibly noise (drawing air from the CPU might make the PSU fan ramp up).

The GeminII seems to yield better results in the SG05 (yes, it does fit) but it takes up space at the front of the case (i'm yet to find a use for that space anyway, watercooling or HDDs maybe?).
