Hi,

Am I doing it right? Case is Thermaltake X2. Its awesome. Huge, industrial and simple. My current cooling setup looks like this:

case.jpg

2 x 140mm front intakes, one 140mm at the back and 2x120mm radiator at the top (cpu aio thing)

I was reading about fans, positive and negative pressure etc and now Im not sure if my current arrangment is ideal.

Does it look all right?

Second question - Im using gigabyte z97mx gaming 5 motherboard. all 3 case fans are PWM and Im using custom fan profile in Bios. Its on slowest/quietest setting and yet fans are spinning at 700ish rpm and I cannot slow them further. Fans are ranked 450rpm to 1500rpm (gray Noctuas nf-P14s).

Is it simply impossible to force them to run at 450rpm without getting fan controller or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Air flow looks ok like that.

If your bios allows you can set them to a fixed RPM but if it's too low the fans won't spin up without help from you spinning them.

Thats pretty much how mine is set up at the moment.
2x 140mm fans at the front intaking through a 240mm rad, 2x 140mm fans in roof exausting thought 280mm rad & 120mm fan at rear exhausting.

Seems to work ok, although I've toyed with the idea of making the front ones exhaust & rear intake, but I don't think it would make a huge difference to overall temps.
