I am thinking of getting additional fans for the case or use as intake and another as exhaust.

Should I go for more of the Fractal Design fans or get a different brand? If so, any recommendations for quiet fans?

Thanks

We just finished a R4 build using TY-147 fans and the owner is very happy with it. Had to modify them to fit in front by cutting them 141x141mm square (they are 151x141mm) but they clipped in on the cut side no problem. Motherboard and GPU support PWM fans and CPU cooler is PWM so all the case fans are controlled using PWM signal from either CPU fan socket or GPU fan socket. A Gelid PWM splitter (molex power for fans) for CPU fan socket and a custom built GPU mini PWMsocket/plug splitter to supply PWM signal to normal PWM socket for GPU. This splitter also uses PWM power for fan and has a rpm sensor lead plugged into motherboard to monitor fan's rpm. Only noise was GPU (2x 82mm fans).. now solved by removing stock GPU shroud & fans and strapping on a couple of 120mm fans.. this lowered GPU temps 10c and now the lonely time you can hear anything is when extreme gaming. :)

TY-147 $5.99
