fans & hdd not powering off on shutdown

hi all, i'm just testing a new build out of the case and when i shutdown from windows (7) the screen goes blank and it appears to shut down, but the fans (psu & cpu) stay spinning as does the hard drive i think. The motherboard is a Asus p5k pro, and i dont have anything connected to the case connection headers so i have to short the power on pins with a screw driver for the extended time after shutting down from windows and then all the fans etc power down?

by the way ive tested it with a smaller psu aswel and the same thing happens?

Is this a "REAL" copy of windows 7?

My mates used to do this with his "fake" copy of XP

got it fixed, apparently its an issue on a few asus boards. if anyone finds this through a search or something, pm me and i will help you with the fix
