fans make no difference?

I was in the process of taking my loop apart to change block and reservoir. Got as far as taking the fans off the rad when I decided to check my temps without them. For some reason they were exactly the same, idle + even during prime95 (although I did only run it for 10 minutes).

I have a dual rad and was considering getting a new case since I can only fit one fan on it due to the rads thickness. Are fans really that necessary? Would it be okay with just one?

Yeah your probably right :)

Another question.. I got 2 of these revolvable g1/4 inner to g1/4 outer thread extenders for my inlet + outlet of my radiator. When I put my loop together first I had to move the radiator, this twisted the tubes and opened up one of my fittings causing a leak. Thought these would make things a lot easier but as you can see the hole in them is pretty small. Would they cause a lot of restriction or is it negligible? I will be using 13/10 tubing

I have 2 of them as well, planned for a similar purpose! but ended up not using them because I am bit anal about restriction.
In all honesty, if you have a good pump it should not matter much, but I didn't use them.
How about using revolvable 45 degree adapters? It is a bend but at least the inner size is not small.
