I have 2 x quad radiators that I plan to put into a 900d build but am a bit stuck on a few points and would appreciate some advice.

Am thinking I like the look of the Corsair sp120 fans but looking at the pic each radiator has a different density of fins, will the choice of fan be suitable or should I be considering something else?

Thanks in advance

you can use the same fans but each rad will respond differently to different speeds

the low density one will do good with slower speeds and gain very little from going faster... the high density one will respond better to faster speeds, however you are probably only talking 1-3C of difference

what are you cooling?
8x120mm is probably quite a lot of rad anyway

the SP120's go up to 2300RPM?
the low density rad will probably stop giving you better results after say 1200rpm, and even the high density one will work good at 1200-1500rpm... you probably don't want to be running those fans on full blast in any case

I would start at 1200rpm and see what temps you get, and then maybe adjust the other rad upwards to see what it gets you, but my guess is not much

edit; sorry, you didn't specify SP120 performance or SP120 quiet... either will do fine, the quieter ones will just be... quieter and less likely to need a fan controller to turn them down

Thanks for the reply Andy much appreciated. gpu wise it will be cooling 2 titans not decided on board and cpu yet I know its a tad overkill but the rads were a good price and if I win the lottery well it would be good to have the ability to add more gpu power eventually.
Am trying to spread the cost and get a few bits each week so this week its fans and fan controller.

Cheers :)
