Im building an all white pc for a friends son for Xmas he's happy to spend what's needed but not just for the sake of spending.
his son like my D30's but i was wanting to know if anyone as any suggestion's on fans that don't cost £170 for 7.
the only fans im 100% against in the M25's there just loud and make a lot of noise at low RPM's, he wants the fans to look premium

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £170.96 (includes delivery: £0.00)

I'll always stick with the D30 when you can fit them being 30mm, due to the noise they make when set up correctly they also have one of the best cable systems for RGB fans imo and don't require you being tied into an ecosystem like most other providers.

There's a reason they don't seem to stay in stock often and if you look at most places prebuilds they favour the D30 on the mid / high end builds

i love the fans, got them in 3 systems. just my buddy said he's happy to pay the £170 but said is there any good alternatives.

we looked at the Lian Li UNI but OMG why is there so many different types and each one needs a different controller.
my head started to hurt just trying to finds 3x120mm 3x140mm and hopefully a 140mm reverse, just when you think your all good you notice one is a tl not an sl. or in and an infinity or what ever.
Li UNI really need to sort out the fan line up

really good job i didnt buy the d30's, put the system together today and there is not a millimetre of space in the fans

I'm waiting for the Wonder Vision to come down in price as a hardcore air cooling type, I'm not usually aesthetics focused but good lord it's pretty enough to punt me into a new AM5 setup:

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £217.98 (includes delivery: £7.99)

Not spending £200+ on an AiO but Thermalright pricing tends to drop quickly.

If Asus/Corsair etc were releasing this it'd be at least half a grand no doubt in my mind.

the one i got i stumbled onto in B-grade for £70

the only problem with Thermalright AIO's is the pump is mounted in the rad, so where you normal have all the components and the case to block pump noise, when you mount an Thermalright cooler the rad is going to top or front bringing the pump/noise to the outside of the case

i guess that's done so that the cpu block isn't too massive as it also has to handle the screen
though to be fair, a bigger cpu block wouldn't be as big as those 1.2kg lumps of metal called dual tower coolers and would be an acceptable tradeoff
when you remove the screen the block is no bigger then the old style asetek pumps was but then they have to pay for a licence
