I've only got a limited number of slots on my motherboard for fans, but I need more is there a way round this?

Another option would be a fan controller. Fan controllers provide power and control of fans independently from the motherboard. A four channel fan controller like the scythe kaze master for instance would provide connections for four more fans. A 6 channel controller for up to 6 fans and so on.

Fan controller route is probulary the better option.
