I'm confused to how the fans on my case are running. I've got 4 external fans and the one on my cpu.

4 in the case all seem to be acting as exhausts?

Shall I turn the front two around so they are sucking air in and the the back and top are exhausts?

I'm guessing this is how it would work?

Front 2 as intakes and the general rule of thumb the top and rears as exhaust.

As Dog says thats is the general rule of thumb but if your case has dust filters you also want to aim for positive pressure in your case (i.e. more fans blowing into the case through the fan filters then blowing out). This is so any air coming into the case is guaranteed to come through the dust filter minimising dust, any excess air not pushed out through the exhaust fans will escape through the cracks and vents in the case which is better than the opposite.

In my experience if you have a bottom filtered intake use that as well as the front, or use the top as an intake if you don't.

The only intake i have at the bottom is a few holes for where the psu sits with a dust cover over that.

And a biiggg dust filter on the front covering the two fans there.

I am looking to fill the 3 spaces i have left, if i can! What fans would you recommend? I like quiet, but then also want something powerful. At the moment, i can barely hear it running.

My blue-ray player is louder than my whole PC system at the moment
