Can someone answer a very simple question thats been on my mind for sometime now. All i hear about the conroe is that it overclock so good. People have report 4.6ghz+ from 6600's and some fantastic overclocks even on air cooled setups. Why then if these CPU's overclock so well are the stock speeds from intel SO low. E6600 2.4?? if these chips overclock well past 2.4 and are completly stable you would have expected intel to have a conroe 4ghz extreem edition at least??

am i missing something here?

what ever the case.. i think i'll be buying one. All 'independent' review seem to suggest the conroe will kick arse on a whole new level. I fear this might be the longest month of the year.
