36 points?

who's in your team?

Friedel

Finnan, Jagielka (who didn't play today), Dunne

Bentley, McSheffrey, Arteta, Gerrard (c)

Torres, Berbatov, Van Persie.

Likely to sell Torres though - he was an impulse buy.

Edit: Actually, as I was posting this, the bonus points came through, so now up to 48 points. All downhill from here :)

Suprised the amount of people putting Tevez in their team despite the fact that SAF has said he wont be playing this weekend.
My assumption was that he will shoot up in price come week 2, so if he doesn't play then a sale will (hopefully) make a bit of money ;) I'll hang onto him and hope he does play though!

Anyone who picked gerrard and made him captain got tons...

I almost picked up martins, but went for anelka at the last minute, think that might pay off soon though.

Hoping for something big from my stars today, go on fabregas and ronaldo !

Has anyone played their wild card in the transfer market? I'm awfully tempted to change a number of players all in one swoop and not be deducted points by using the wild card. Any seasoned pros in here (looks at Ripper) got any advice, will it be better to save for later in the season or during the injury crisis? :)

:p

I used mine quite early last season. Best thing to do is wait until a top team plays 2 games in a game week, and if you don't have any/many of their players, use the wildcard to get three of them in.

I knew I should have added McShane to my team, I wasn't sure if he was going to be a first team player for Sunderland but after yesterday's game it's very apparent he now will be. And for £4m, is the cheapest you can get. But I already have Wallace, Gordon and Edwards from Sunderland in my squad, so to bring McShane in I need to drop a player which takes up another transfer and deducts 4 points. I think for now I'll take the points deduction and save the wild card. :)

whats this wild card business about?

You get one wild card for the season. So if you want to make a load of transfers in one week, you can click the wild card option on the confirmation screen and no points get deducted for doing more than the one allowed free transfer per game week.

@Ripper - Using the wild card, is there a limit or can you effectively change your entire 15 man squad?
