Hello there!

Just got off the phone to technical support and they've suggested I give you a shout here. My CPU is running at the unclocked speed of 3.06GHz and it was part of a bundle with an approved clockspeed of 4GHz. Bought it in February 2011 and seems a shame not to have it running at full tilt. The OC profile in the BIOS doesn't load so I'm wondering if you have the figures available for me to enter it manually then I can finally save a new profile for myself?

The bundle was: £510.99 x 1 - Krypton Rampage Extreme Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz @ 4.00GHz Overclocked Bundle. I think the chap on Technical Support referred to the mobo as a RoG Asus Rampage II Extreme. Cracking motherboard so far (in my little world of computers!). ;)

I just want to get the "proper" clockspeed back onto the CPU. Thanks for any help you can provide me with! :D

I have informed the phone staff that We keep a record of as many overclocks as possible for moments like this.

I have 4 ghz settings for the 950 for a gigabyte x58 UD3r we do keep the settings for most of our overclocks but sadly it would appear the rampage settings were't' saved

Technically we don't support overclocks once they go past the year warranty but Like I said we do have a copy of them and I can provide them if you like. You'll just have to work out the differences between Gigabyte and Asus when it comes to the labels.

Oooo, I think that would do me. If I feel even slightly unsure I have some tech-head friends who will definitely give it a go next time they visit. Do you need an email address or is here okay? Either way... over to you (and thank you!). :)

Cheers TwsT. You seem to have this one well covered.

If I am needed to fill in the blanks let me know.

meh can't use trust as I can't remember my password and it's just still logged in here haha

Turbo - Disabled
Base Clock Control - Enabled
BCLK Frequency - 174
System Memory Multiplier - 8.0
CPU Clock Drive - 900mv
PCI Express Clock Drive - 900mv

DRAM timings

CAS Latency Time - 9

Absolutely superb, guys. Thanks for this. Will save this offline too just in case. I'll report back the moment I try them out (read: recover from the damned flu/cold thing I managed to avoid over Christmas). ;-)
