Please delete this if you feel its not necessary. Being someone who reguarly likes to post and read in the Console Games & Hardware Forum, I and I'm sure I'm not alone, am starting to get really fed up with all the rubbish threads, and comments being posted on here lately, if its not another post, saying how this paticular bit of the PS3 is flawed or How some other bit of the 360 is going to break all the time, its ELRazur posting some stupid, boring, pointless or snide comment.

Please give it up, these threads that contain a couple of lines of text someone has gotten form some unknown website stating another boring rumour about some part of a new console, is just getting boring. Can we have some threads about new games coming out, what people are playing at the moment, infact anything would be nice.

And cant we have a thread entitled "My Xbox 360 is bust" where anyone with a bust 360 can post in there?? That way we might not get a million of these posted everyday!

I know I will probably get loads of abuse off people for this, and everyone will ignore it but... At least i got to have my say lol

On an actual gaming side of things, Anyone here Play Saints row online? have yet to try it online yet, but whenever I try to play online, I sit there waiting for hours for a big enough group of people to come online to play. Or should i be taking this as a sign that it not worth playing online?
 
Two things. If you dont like it, please dont read or use the back button and Emailing a don will be better next time. (In reference to your first paragraph) :)
 
On the last point, I play SR online (haven't for the past month admittedly) and never have any trouble getting a game - these are ranked games. I think it's something to do with the bars by your name on the leaderboards as one is basically the level of people you will be matched with. Depends on game type too...I've only ever really played Blinged Out Ride.
 
Evening all, I'm aware of the PS3/XBox bashing threads, and keep an eye out for any that are likely to turn into a flamefest.

Please RTM any threads you think aren't likely to have any useful discussion and I'll try to keep things tidy.

Can anything be done about the 2 or 3 people that constantly create negative ps3/sony threads based on the slightest rumour/quote with the sole intention of riling other members of the forum who support PS3? It's gone beyond the normal posting useful news links I think.

I'm sure you would have to think less than 2 seconds to name the main 2 perpetrators.

Sadly not there is a wealth of info on 360 returns etc, yet every other day it's...

My 360 has 3 red lights who do I call?

The stickie needs a little bit of updating granted on returns which I will later post in for their new way of doing things(regards HDD, boxes, extended warranties etc). Then perhaps any of these threads can be linked there and then closed?

After I've taken my wife out I will update it ;)

If the threads are interesting or newsworthy then they'll be left alone, if I start having to waste time tidying up pointless threads I'll have a word with the people starting them. As above, the more RTMing you do the easier it is for me to keep an eye on things :)

Some people claim 'But but but i am only reporting the news' because they found it on some obscure blog.

I'm pretty active, Yewen is still around, he's become Hooooooop recently though, against his will ofcourse.
 
What I don't understand is that a lot of the 'negative' threads are just people regurgitating 'news' from various gaming sites, and it is usually current news from reasonably trusted sources, thus where is the problem??

I for one think it's pretty necessary that we know developers and publishers 'opinions' on the various consoles, as do I think people posting about consoles failing is also relevant..

Are you seriously saying we should 'hide' negative information about any console, just because it upsets some people?? if it comes from a noteworthy site/source, then surely people are entitled to hear all news, whether good or bad.. If something is getting a lot of flak, perhaps it's for a reason? whether the minority disagree with it or not!..

Thats pretty much what I said earlier, if its newsworthy its fine, if its just console bashing it'll be closed. I don't own a single console, so I'm pretty unbiased :)
 
in EL razs defence he doesnt actually start whole threads about silly news stories anymore

you cant blame him for defending the console he owns

its people posting silly "non" news storys that iritate me , so much i just dont reply to them anymore :)
