thats not usually the way they work.

THey usually spoof the e-mail address that their mass e-mailing machines of doom (tm) use and just mask it with a real one. Obviously e-mail addresses get blacklisted and recognized etc.. so they need a constant stream of new ones.

Once you've signed up, they know the address is real and just copy and paste the e-mail address into their software.

Its not actually sent from the persons account in most instances. But once they've got it, theres no way of stopping it. All you can do is close the account down and let the e-mails bounce around cyberspace as its no longer a valid address anymore. Thats when they then move onto another address.

It has all his hotmail contacts on thought, and its addressing them all in the "to" field.
 
Heh I was going to post a similar thread a couple weeks ago. Please fix your malware/virus infected PC as it spammed crap to me on MSN and via email.
