Hi all,

I've got a date in Leeds on Thursday and having never lived or been to Leeds, I have no idea on a decent restaurant. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm looking for somewhere that's not going to be full of kids (we're both between 23 and 24) and I won't need a booking for. I'm open to suggestions for most cuisines but I'm not a fan of seafood that aren't the traditional fishes.

Ideas I've had so far include: Sous Le Nez (seems a tad expensive), Little Tokyo, Restaurant Bar & Grill.

Cheers

Fazenda in Leeds is nice. Had had mixed reviews of it but we enjoyed it. There's a few nice places on Greek street. There's a place we really, really liked, the white something- give me a mo to google and try remember.

Edit: it was the blackhouse. They do Kobe beef (didnt get any). Also bibi's and Jamie's Italian would be decent choices too.

Just a bump rather than starting a new thread. Me and the Mrs are having a joint birthday next month and for mine we're spending the Friday night in Manchester which is down to her but the Saturday we're going to Leeds which i'm planning.

Last time we went we ate at the Grill on the Square which was nice but i'm trying to find somewhere a bit special to take her.
Budget is probably around £150 although we don't tend to really do deserts though do like to usually have a beer to start then a decentish bottle of red and then maybe a whisky/cocktail afterwards. So probably works out around £40-£50 per person for food.

Anyone got any suggestions?

maybe have a look at anthonys restaurant or malmaison brasserie

Anthonys looks lovely although i'm not too sure about the menu too much. Will check out the Malmaison brasserie, might even see if they're doing any deals with their website to!

A Rodizio will probably be a bit too much food although i do love them!

Given you've considered sous le nez I'd recommend looking at Kendalls. I prefer the food and the atmosphere in there is nicer as well.
