FAO mods?

Bit of a quandary - had a message from a mod about my signature yesterday morning which was a bit confusing (something to do with a business promotion). I've tried to get in touch with the mod since it sounds like my sig might have been hacked? But not heard anything back yet. I don't know if I should just put my sig back or if someone can just clarify for me what the issue was. I also don't know where I should be posting this... so er, help please?

I vote OP name change to sig_fail, or bum_sig.

Sounds to me like your sig had some sort of business promotion on it, and that isn't allowed here.

If that's the case, then I'm very confused; I don't run a business! It just linked to my personal website, the same as many other people do

It's a bit like a portolio website, it just lists some of my recent posts to Twitter and YouTube, and some recent photo uploads. There's a blog in the archive and some open source software I wrote a long time ago. It's pretty basic.

I won't link to it just in case but if you Google 'simon hoade' (hey that's me!) you'll find it.
