Kindly start packing please, you'll be on the move in the next day or two. I wouldn't get too comfy as you drop in on my current abode, there are a few more heavyweights closing the gap.

Don't know what happened to you though, It's only a few weeks since you came flying past me all borgs blazing.

ADSL Failure

I had the phone line moved back in February and in April the ADSL went dead. It has taken the combined technical (in)competence of BT Retail, BT Wholesale and Claranet until yesterday to realise that my ADSL line has been "ceased" and doesn't have a mystery fault after all. So since April 6 and until the middle of next week I've had no connection to outside world and no uploads or downloads from F@H.

Once I'm back on-line, I'll have the home farm folding.... ...so keep my cell warm and don't get too comfy. :)

Ah Claranet - yep I've had similar problems with them and ADSL, fine if it is working but if there is a fault getting anybody to take ownership is a major battle.

Back on line

The home fires are burning again. Should see some increase in F@H output. Just not sure how long before I reclaim TWO lost places.. :(

Interesting MGP that you have had experience of Claranet - I had to escalate 2 levels up before an infinite loop business process could be broken. Not a very good advertisement.

Looks like you're already fighting that yellow fruit thingy for your preferred abode. :)

but don't count your banana's before they's hatched.

But due to my home rig spontainiously rebooting at around mid-day killing smp and loading twin backup clients I'm down by 800ppd the last two days - no idea why either (Doh! just remembered I changed a BIOS setting or two :o )
