FAO Nildram users

Thanks for that Stoofa, doesn't work for you either then. If a non-Nildram user could post a pic of what they see too that'd be a big help, i'm guessing he/she will not see what me and you see.

If somebody who is seeing the later of the two websites can run an NSLOOKUP on the domain name:

C:\>nslookup www.civictype-r.co.uk
Server: lon1-dns1.nildram.net
Address: 213.208.106.212

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: www.civictype-r.co.uk
Address: 64.74.223.198

Lets see if we're getting to the same server to start with.

I'm not a Nildram user, but I can still poke their servers. Looks like Nildram has some stale DNS records on one of their servers. Mind you, I can no longer contact them, so they've probably sussed me out. :)

Ve haf vays of making servers talk... :)

Using domain server:
Name: dns0.nildram.co.uk
Address: 195.112.4.14#53
Aliases:

civictype-r.co.uk has address 212.241.196.113
Using domain server:
Name: dns1.nildram.co.uk
Address: 195.112.4.7#53
Aliases:

civictype-r.co.uk has address 64.74.223.198

OK, looks like we are getting somewhere as there is definitely a difference of opinion on the IP address of where the site should be.
I wonder if they have moved servers recently or changed hosts - although 2-3 days is a long time for DNS to sort itself out.

I'll drop Nildram a line and explain the issue about their DNS servers disagreeing which hopefully should solve the issue for Nildram users.
It won't fix the AOL users though as Nildram are not authoritative on the domain.

Unfortunately you won't be able to access their forums via IP address.
As soon as you get in a new page will be generated for you which will resolve to the wrong IP address and we'll be back to square one.

*Edit*
I've dropped Nildram support an e-mail.
They aren't as quick or fast as they used to be, they hopefully will be able to solve the issue for Nildram users though.

I'm not at home at the moment so I can only try the link on our leased line - which gives me the page I'm apparently supposed to see.

Nildram support have replied to me this morning telling me they can see an issue and have fixed it.
They have also specified that the two name servers that Nildram users should be using with their ADSL service:

213.208.106.212
213.208.106.213

If for any reason you're not, then manually configure to use these.
