FAO: Oceaness

Dammit you're catching up quick!! Good thing my production is nearly hitting 1k per day - it'll take you a little time yet. I'm out of things to borg though. Still 3 (4 occaisionally) machines giving nearly 1k a day isn't too bad.

Im suprised my current output is as high as it is! All I can think of is one or more of my Borgs is starting to kick in or are being left on longer :D

However one thing is for sure, By Christmas I will have an E6600 and I do plan to overclock the nads off it! :p

Also, my brother has expressed his interest in an upgrade to his 3700+ AND my other brother is getting the internet at his house soon or so he hopes, his 2.6GHz CPU wont be going to waste!

Heh, I won't believe it until I have actually stomped you. For the last 2 months you have always pulled something out your sleeve at the last possible moment!

SiriusB

Bah!

Output at an all time low cause i've been away for 9 days and only had a couple of borgs on. home now need to get my rigs here organised and back on.

Good stompage there.

Once sorted I may eventually get to return the favour ;)

If you do it will be naught but fleeting. As I have said many times I have a C2D upgrade in the works and a new file server. I also got a letter today telling me I have 2.5K from the SLC. First installment should be arriving soon :D

Maybe if you stare at it reeeeeaallly intently, the sheer force of foldy stompiness will be bestown upon it and it will start crunching away all by itself. Powered by your own sense of self-satisfaction :D

*Tries jedi mind trick on E6600: "You want to fold"*

At least I know it'll do 3ghz stable and it has booted at 3.6 so with a nice DS4 board and a good cooler (Scythe Mine) I should be seeing some very nice clocks and therefore some very nice output :D

Eventually :(

to be honest I'd expect more than 3.6, my E6300 does 3.22 easily stable at stock volts

Wow, didn't realise the E6600s were that good! I knew they could reach 3.5GHz on air but I had no idea it could do it with little or no increase in volts.

*waits eagerly to get mine*

Actually, while we are on the subject... what mobo and RAM do people recommend? Budget isn't an issue just yet, so don't go speccing me some Corsair Dominator :p

Was looking at getting the E6600, DS3 and either Corsair or GeIL RAM. I just dunno what's best anymore :p

So, suggestions welcome - and yes, I do plan to overclock so RAM needs to be up to it :)

If I expect it, it wont do it :p

I am hoping for some good results. Can't decide between scythe mine or watercooling. Think i'm gonna go watercooled that way it's cooler, quieter and should see some even better clocks at higher voltages :D

Like Sirius budget isn't really a problem for this rig as it's mine and it's going to be my new flagship. :D

GL with that.

Mine tops out at 3.2ghz at stock V, 3.525ghz at 1.5V

BING-BONG!

If the passenger in seat 67, Mr Oceaness, would care to look behind him he will see that after a slight hiccup deej is back to roughly 1k production and will be requiring said seat in 3 days.

PARP! PARP!

Thank you for your attention.
