I recently registered for a course on the OU Website, as I'm looking at going for a BEng(Hons). I chose MST121 for my first module which has a total of 30 points.

I haven't heard back from them yet. Not even a confirmation email. I have read that one may study upto 120 points per year, and I want to, but I'm not quite sure how. I can't login on the OU website as I have not yet received a Username or Personal Identifier (PI). Is it simply a matter of registering for another course, as I did the first time?

Or do I wait until I receive my login details? And when should that be? I'm becoming quite paranoid that I may have typed my email address incorrectly. :p

TIA! :)

It's Saturday. I've tried calling a number on the OU site but it just hangs-up straight away. Sent them an email too, but no reply thus far. That was 2 days ago.

are you trying the right number ?

When i have signed up for courses they usually mail me forms to fill in. Signing up for multiple courses has also just been a matter of registering for each course.

Are you working during the day? I think 120 points is a helluva lot to do part-time in the evenings. I did 60 points and found it to be just right?

That's the number I'm calling, but it just hangs right after I dial the number. There must be some kind of connection problem, or the phone line is broken. Guess I'll just wait for the forms to arrive and see what they say. :)

I'm not working right now, but I have a job lined-up to start in October. You think 120 points would be too much? The job is only part-time and I have no other distractions, really.

You simply sign up for more courses.

120 is a lot of work; are you working as well?

I will be in October, but only part-time. Nothing too time consuming.

I think I'll be able to manage it, to be honest. The actual course doesn't start until February (and a couple of others I'm interested in), so I have plenty of time to prepare.

If it is too much, I guess there is always the option to put a course on-hold until next time 'round.

Edit: Oh, and they finally replied to my Email. :)
