My claim was in the context of the pricing if the 6970 was significantly faster than the GTX580, I also said it would be more like the prices people were claiming circa. £360 if it was slower.

Unfortunatly theres no way to test its validity now but my claim was that AMD would not price the card significantly below the 580 if they had a faster product on their hands.

EDIT: I will admit however that the prices are lower than I'd have expected even taking into account they have a slower product.

I come here because i do not have great depth of knowledge and yes i need your help.
And to have someone post false scores is i think very wrong :(
We are all here because we have a passion for PC gaming and getting as smooth as we can game play, i looked at those scores and remember getting more excited thinking this could be as good as Ravenxx was suggesting.

I have saved hard for the cash to buy this card and Martini1991 did not sway me into my purchase but he was helping me along :(

I do not want to see anyone get banned but i am rather %$£^&

As for martin. Just suspend him for a week or something and be done with it. Will satisfy all then :)
 
Martini - from what I've read you normally seem to post sensible stuff, so surprising to see such a poor 'joke'. Plenty of people will have based a fair part of their decision on your stupid prank,especially given the hype and confusion. Justifying misleading people by saying it's what they want to hear isn't a justification, and just shows you aren't sorry at all for misleading and annoying people. Btw, got any screenies of your 1200Mhz stable 6870's you're selling?

It's amazing, I've only really been actively posting for a few days, but it's become rapidly clear who the bulls******** are. ;)
 
I just think that with 100's of guests reading the graphics card forums last night that this has damaged the forums reputation. Maybe a lot of guests won't be returning as you get fake benchmark results on OcUK forums. This forum is run by OcUK so it could even damage there reputation too.

I'm afraid I agree with you, not only was it a deliberate troll of the forum but to post it immediately before the release of the cards in such a manner could have influenced not just members of the forum, but purchasers in the shop who may not be tech savvy enough to know better.
