I'm guessing XFi only started last night as a result of the pimping thread - if anyone knows who he/she is then give 'em a prod - their machine is spewing out erroneous WUs

linkage

Folding@Home is very hardcore and will push a machine just that little bit harder than most stability tests - if you need a hand identifying what could be at fault then post a few sections of your FahLog.txt for us to have a ganders at

Usually indicates you're either too far overclocked, or you have a thermal issue. Get it Prime95/memtest stable then give it another try.

Nope But it seems my opteron is dieing and cant keep up the clock speeds ill go down to 2.4 and see if its any better then

It is :p , did you mistake CLOCK speeds for STOCK speeds?
Nope. He said he was going to underclock. If he'd said 'overclock less' that would have been fine, but underclock means going less than stock speeds (to me).

Anyway, as with any overclock, stability is key to any distributed computing use, especially in all this heat we've had recently. :(

Yep sorry i ment overclock less :D Ive clocked it down slightly to 2.4 and ill do some tests to see if its stable and then start folding again
