Far Cry 1.4 - No mouse movement?

just installed the 1.4 patch for far cry, and now i cant look around with the mouse?
all the other controls work fine

how can i get it working again?

I got that, i changed the sensitivity of the mouse in the game (i could still move the cursor in the main menu) and it sorted itself.

I had exactly the same problem, with my Logitech MX510.

I backed up my Profile folder (C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\Profiles), uninstalled FC (Far Cry), deleted C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\*.*.

I then reinstalled FC, then the 1.4 patch straight after, copied my Profile folder over, reconfigured FC and loaded up my recent save game. I couldn't move the mouse! :eek:

Uninstalled FC (without uninstalling FC 1.4 patch, by accident), deleted C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\*.*, and reinstalled FC. Attempted to put 1.4 patch back on - it said it's already installed, and asked me to uninstall it first. So I uninstalled, then installed the 1.4 patch.

I then loaded FC up, reconfigured it again, loaded up my saved game...and voila, it worked! :eek::confused:

Not sure why it did what it did, TBH. But that's my "work around". :p

Basically I had FC 1.33 installed - but it was buggy for me, so I uninstalled it, and reinstalled FC, and applied the 1.4 patch.

After copying my Profile folder back, and finding out it didn't work, I uninstalled FC without uninstalling the patch first.

This could the critical part (which I missed in the above post): I then reinstalled FC, ran it, set it up and made sure my mouse worked in the game - which it did. So I applied the 1.4 patch, and the mouse still allowed me to move in the game. So, pushing my luck, I copied the Profile and saved games back over, and the mouse still works. :cool:

Not sure, but if you go onto Farcry's forums, there are several people with the same issue as you. Most of them have Logitech mice, too. :eek:
 
ill check out there forums now, but for now... [/throws G5 out of window] ;)


actually, before i throw it out of the window i will try installing the mouse drivers. doubt it would make any difference but still
