far cry 2/crysis problems

whenever i play FC2/warhead sometimes some white spots start falshing on the screen
i don't know what this is or how to prevent it
also in the opening movie of FC2 i think some pixels go white for some reason
the card is clocked at
Gigabyte 9800GTX+ 1GB
776 Core/1959 Shader/1097 Mem

in the past i was under the impression that white flashign pixels, or 'sparklies' were an indication of overheating GFX memory.

i have exactly the same thing mate. farcry 2 only, no cod4, 2142, cod5 .. only farcry 2. running the latest drivers and it's normally only in dark areas, or at night where the screen is covered in em
