Remember that the original Farcry was very scaleable, it had some settings that couldn't be used at release, even by the best rigs at the time, but it also had settings that meant it could run on pretty low spec PC's at the time.

Recommended specs isn't the same thing as "running everything at max in high resolution"...

I ran farcry 1 on a 1200 athlon, ati 9600 pro, 512mb of memory. It ran perfectly on low settings at 800x600

Hmm, ill beleive this when i see it.

What they didnt tell you was you need that sorta spec to run 8 bit graphics but to run it full what you need a machine from 10 years in the future. Pah.
