Hi guys,

I remember watching a demo video for Far Cry 2 where the developer shot and wounded a soldier in order to draw out other soldiers to come and pull them to safety. Has anyone actually managed this in the game? I shoot them in the leg from long distance with a sniper rifle and they just limp away. I shoot them again and they usually die :-/

Not so far but I haven't played FC2 for that long, but can't say I've ever noticed them being wounded ( except when they fall on the ground, but after a few secs they stand up again).

Last night whilst playing I think I must have severely wounded a guy, he couldnt stand up anymore just slumped on the ground trying to shoot me, there werent any other guys to pull him to safety tho...

Yeah its quite easy really, just shoot them in the lower abdoman with a sniper or a few rifle rounds and they will most ikely be wounded collapsed on the floor.

Seen some soldiers shooting with pistol after falling to the ground from a shot, not been able to wound them and pull out others though.

I have seen something like that on one occasion:

I winged a guy with the sniper rifle and then watched. A second bad guy appeared and helped the wounded guy up; they then walked over to a wall, against which the wounded guy subsequently slumped. The 2nd bad guy then appeared to stand guard.

Of note, the above happened in the fuel depot, found at the top left hand corner of the map. I wonder if there needs to be a certain number of enemies in the area, for that kind of behaviour to occur.

They do this with me all the time while i am sniping, you do realise if they see you they dont do this as they are content on killing you, but if they dont know where you are (camo upgrade very usefull) then they do this quite often.

Are any of the sniper rifles silent? I haven't got the camo suit yet but I find that even using a sniper from full range they still seem to be able to pin down my location?

I haven't tried to do it....but that cause I shoot them in the head so they can't cry for help normally :p

The Dart Gun is, but not a "proper" bullet sniper rifle. Mind you, given that enemies respawn all the damn time, I doubt it makes much difference.

Yep, this happened to me when I was playing last night. Was hiding behind a rock, peeked out and shot some guy with my pistol a couple of times in the legs. He collapsed down behind a jeep. I heard a some shouting (pretty sure I heard a shout of 'medic!') and looked out from behind the rock again to see another guard running over and crouching down to help the guy slumped behind the jeep. I shot him in the head for his troubles.

What is the damage like on the dart gun? I've got it unlocked but haven't bought it yet because I don't want to waste diamonds. At the moment I'm using the Barrat rifle thing you get after the Druganov, and it would be more stealthy if I shot at them with a tank :p

I’ve had this happen quite a number of times. It’s great as you can hear them calling out for help, and I even heard the guy coming to help him asking somebody else for cover at the same time once. Really nice touch.

No idea, I only found out the Dart Gun was the equivalent of the silenced rifle when the in-game help told me so :p. I've only bought that same rifle as you, and I just rely on hosing them down with Mac10 bullets if they get too close. I was tempted to buy the Dragunov, for the sake of not having to unscope between shots at least.

Is the camo suit worth getting then?
It seems pretty useful. As long as they don't hear you, you can get really close to enemies with it, even looking at you.
